What is affordable for you is anything in the range of 2,500 - 4,000 Baht per month. For this price you can get a reasonable flat (furnished) or a two/three bedroomed house (unfurnished).

If you share accommodation with a colleague then the options get bigger and better.

I suggest that I find a small apartment for you which is clean and safe, where you can base yourself for a few weeks/months whilst you look for something more permanent. The apartment below is the sort of thing I have in mind.
